The official opening of Chilgrove Business Centre, near Chichester, took place last week and was presided over by Cllr Myles Cullen, Deputy Leader of the Chichester District Council and Cabinet Member for Economy, Property and Tourism (pictured right).
Mr Cullen spoke enthusiastically about the potential and impact such a new and environmentally-friendly business centre could have on the local economy and it seems that the many business people (pictured below), who attended the event from around the Chichester and Petersfield areas, agreed.
Chilgrove Business Centre, is located in the West Sussex countryside just a few minutes from Chichester and provides a unique working experience for businesses that want to avoid the noise and traffic of the city and truly enjoy working in a peaceful and relaxing environment.
With the innovative natural flow ventilation system, businesses based in the centre literally get a breath of fresh air right into their offices. The centre further promotes “green” working through its extensive solar panelling, supporting the “Bike to Work” philosophy with cycle parking and showers, and having a near zero carbon rating on the building as a whole.
The brand new, purpose built offices have been finished to a very high specification and feature state of the art, environmentally-friendly measures including:
- A unique mechanical ventilation and heating system (MVHR) that pipes the fresh countryside air right into your office
- Solar panels that supply 30 kilowatts of energy to the building reducing traditional energy usage and costs
- Fixed wireless broadband service with download speeds of up to 30Mbs
- “Free for Life”* car parking (for the duration of your tenancy) and a cycle park for those cycling to and from work
- Outdoor picnic area to make the most of the beautiful rural setting
- Male and female toilets and kitchen facilities, shower and changing facilities
- Meeting room and multi-media breakout area
